(Odebolt, Iowa) — Polls are opening at seven o’clock this morning for the Iowa House District Seven Special Election. Voters in Sac, Calhoun, and Pocahontas counties, as well as a section of Webster County, will choose a new representative to send to Des Moines. Republican Wendy Larson and Democrat Rachel Burns are each looking to fill the seat left open after the resignation of GOP State Representative Mike Sexton. He stepped down in September after President Trump made him director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development office in Iowa.
