(Shenandoah) Atlantic rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning to edge Shenandoah 8-7 Thursday at Sportsman’s Park.
The Trojans tallied eight runs on seven hits. Sawyer Tarrell led the way with two hits and a run scored, while Gavin McLaren delivered an RBI double, stole a base, and scored once.
Shenandoah collected seven runs on six hits. Dalton Athen contributed an RBI double, a stolen base, and a run scored. Cole Scamman added a single and also crossed the plate.
Atlantic jumped out with two runs in the third, but the Mustangs responded with a six-run outburst in the bottom half and added another in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead. The Trojans answered with four runs in the fifth and completed the comeback with two more in the seventh.
