(Van Meter, IA) – At Van Meter High School on Thursday evening, the CAM girl’s track and field team was able to capture fifth place with a total of 61 points, tying with Central Decatur and West Central Valley. Van Meter earned first place with 146, Ballard was named in second with 86 points, and Earlham was featured in third with 64.
The Cougars featured Ada Hansen in first place in the 800m run and the 400m hurdles. Lilly Barber was featured in third place in the discus, Alison South finished fifth in the 400m dash, and Bailey Lillard was in fifth in the 100m hurdles.
In the team events, CAM earned first in the 800m medley relay and third in the 4x100m shuttle hurdle relay.
CAM returns back to action on April 29th when they get into the Rolling Valley Conference Championships at 4:00 p.m.
