(Sioux City, IA) — Sioux City police have identified the man who died when his pickup plunged into the Missouri River during a heavy rain Saturday evening. He has been identified as 69-year-old Gerald Reed of Smithland. Investigators say he lost control of the truck on I-29 and went into the river during the storm. Divers recovered the truck with his body inside around 11:20 a-m Sunday.
