(Audubon, IA) — Audubon Volleyball comes into a new season with high hopes and strong numbers. The Wheelers will have to replace six graduating seniors including All State hitter Harlow Miller but Head Coach Molly Lange has 25 players to work with. Senior Riley Miller and Junior Lucy Stanerson are both returning and will be counted on to be “terminators” according to Lange. Junior Whitney Petersen is another player who will see an increase in minutes and Lange says there are other young players in the mix that will try to fight their way into the line up
Lange says the strength for the team is the back row with a lot of experience
Senior Maddie Derry will take over the Setter position with Anna Larsen graduated — Derry moved around to different positions last year. Audubon moves into the Rolling Valley this year from the Western Iowa Conference and Lange says it does not affect things a whole lot
Audubon does not open their season until a tournament at South Central Calhoun on Saturday, September 5.
