(Atlantic, IA) — Yesterday was the first day of practice for the Atlantic Girls Tennis team. The Trojans finished 7-5 in duals last year and lose four key seniors — Shauna Anderson, Aunika Darrow, Addie Freund, and Aubrey Winford. Head Coach Mike McDermott says the numbers are really good coming into this season
Atlantic will return their top two players from last year — Seniors Jacobi Harter and Lily Willrich
Junior Dylin Ball will move in the singles rankings and so will Senior Taryn O’Brien. McDermott says there will be competition in the other singles spots and will need some young players to step up.
McDermott says the Hawkeye Ten will completely different with losing three schools
Atlantic will open their tennis season this Friday hosting Kuemper Catholic.
