(Red Oak) The Red Oak City Council approved Resolution 2026-71 on Monday, approving a Performance Services Agreement with the Montgomery County Family YMCA for recreational programming and management services during the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The City provided the YMCA with $28,400 during the previous fiscal year. City Administrator Lisa Kotter said the YMCA requested $30,000 for the new fiscal year and asked the City to take over baseball field preparation and maintenance expenses previously handled by the YMCA.
Under the agreement, the City will provide the YMCA with $24,000, paid in two installments of $12,000 in August 2026 and February 2027. The agreement runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The YMCA will continue managing Red Oak recreational programs and facilities, including scheduling practices, games and tournaments at the Sports Complex, coordinating activities for YMCA, school, youth and adult leagues, and maintaining areas for youth soccer and flag football.
