(Ames, IA) — Iowa St. Men’s Basketball Head Coach TJ Otzelberger met with the media this week and talked about the Cyclones summer workouts. Freshman Christian Wiggins recently went down with a season ending injury — he would have gotten playing time in ISU’s backcourt this season. Otzelberger is confident he will make an impact on the team in the future
The Cyclones will have a tough non conference schedule this year which includes Memphis in the season opener on November 2nd, possibly Tennessee and other top teams in a tournament in Las Vegas, Purdue, and of course their rivalry game with Iowa
Iowa St. has five transfers coming to the team this year — Jaquan Johnson, Taj Manning, Leon Bond, Ryan Prather and Tre Singleton and Ozelberger says all five of them will see significant minutes
Iowa St. will have a scrimmage against Creighton on October 18 and again the season opens at Hilton Coliseum on November 2nd versus Memphis.
