(Atlantic, IA) — The Atlantic boys golf team continued their great season by winning a quad at Atlantic Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. The Trojans won by 14 strokes over Kuemper Catholic and took 5 of the top 6 spots. Atlantic finished with a team score of 140, the Knights 154, Treynor 163, and Harlan 175.
Brady Wood and Hudson McLaren each shot a 33 to tie for first but Wood won in a playoff with a birdie to claim the Medalist honors and end his teammates win streak at three. Austin LaMantia of Treynor was 3rd with a 36 followed by three more Trojans — Jaack Muller, Sam Brosam and Gage Gross all shot 37s. Braxton Hass added a 45.
Braxton Vonnahme and Theodore Perkins of KC shot a 38; Jack Lenz and Brenten Loeffelholz of KC shot a 39; Garrett Babe shot a 42 and Collin Venteicher 45.
Treynor’s Brett Wilkie scored a 41; Murphy McKern a 42; AJ Shudak 44; Cooper Winchell 44; and Ethan Hill 52.
For Harlan, Collin Burchett was low round with a 42 and in 12th place; Cade Neve 44; Cole Koesters 46; Jacob Spangenberg 46; Caleb Ernst 47.
