(Madrid, IA) — Nodaway Valley competed at a Co Ed track and field meet at Madrid and came away with two individual wins.
Emma Boswell won the High Jump at 4-10 and finished 3rd in the Long Jump at 15-06.50. Other top finishes for the girls included Allie Cornelison 2nd in the 400 Hurdles (1:16.97); Izzy Eisbach 2nd in the 1500 (5:02.87) and the 4×800 relay was 2nd with Cornelison, Abby Nelson, Eisbach and Kylie Nelson at 10:35.01.
Gabe Winkelmann won the 1600 at 4:47.17 which is a season PR; the Sophomore was 2nd in the 3200 (10:30.22). Also for the Wolverines, Haden Colton was 3rd in the 400 (55.49); Cassius Burnside was 3rd in the Long Jump (18-09) and they finished 3rd in the Sprint Medley and 4×800 relays.
For Kuemper Catholic, Griffin Glynn won the High Jump (5-10) and Zach Nepper was 2nd in the Long Jump (19-02). For the girls, Morgan Masching was 2nd in the Long Jump (16-06.75) and 2nd in the 100 (13.55); Addison Schon 2nd in the Shot Put (36-04.00) and 2nd in the Discus (103-10).
