(Harlan) The Park staff at Prairie Rose State Park is looking for a campground host.
John Lorenzen, a fisheries biologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, says they are seeking a friendly, dedicated volunteer to fill the campground host position from now through October. He says in exchange for their services, the hosts get to use a free full-hook-up campsite with a great view.
Lorenzen says Campground hosts put in 20 hours per week and, in exchange, they get to use a full hook-up campsite with a great view.
The duties would include welcoming guests, keeping the facilities clean, and prepping cabins for new campers. Campground hosts also get a golf cart to cruise around while living on the lake.
Again, those interested in this position can call Park Manager Beth Collins at 712-773-2701.
