(Keokuk County) A Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office employee is on administrative leave after a hayrack ride crash. Officials say the incident happened Saturday night on a gravel road near What Cheer. The ride was part of a party for Sigourney’s seventh-grade students, and multiple injuries were reported. Yesterday, the sheriff’s office confirmed the employee had been placed on administrative leave while the crash was investigated. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is almost done but is waiting for the Iowa Attorney General’s Office to review it.
