(Council Bluffs) Iowa Western Community College Diesel/Ag Instructor and Chairman Clint Meyer has been named the first Iowan to receive the Snap-on/NC3 Instructor of the Year award.
Meyer was recognized at the NC3 Summit on July 23. The award honors instructors who demonstrate outstanding dedication to career and technical education programs.
With more than 20 years as an educator, Meyer was nominated by his students for his commitment to going above and beyond to help them succeed. He continues to support students even after graduation as they enter the high-demand diesel industry.
The Iowa Western Diesel Technology Associate in Applied Science program provides students with classroom and hands-on training in diesel engines, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics and other areas. Students also have opportunities for paid internships and are prepared for careers in transportation, agriculture, construction and equipment industries.
