(Brayton) One person died and another person suffered minor injuries in a head-on collision in Audubon County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, on 320th Street west of Goldfinch PL. Authorities say one of the drivers, identified as 56-year old Lee Ann Hansen, of Atlantic died in the crash. The other driver, 30-year old Gregory Keith Gregerson, of Harlan, suffered minor injuries.
According to the report, an eastbound 2017 Chevy Equinox driven by Hansen collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by Gregerson at the crest of the hill on 320th Street. The two vehicles ended up in the north ditch.
Exira Rescue transported Hansen to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office, Brayton Fire and Rescue, Exira Fire and Rescue, Audubon County Emergency Management, and Life Flight assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
