(Atlantic) Atlantic Firefighters responded to a garage fire at around 2:49 a.m. this morning at 800 Olive Street.
Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel said when they arrived on the scene, the structure was fully engulfed, and flames were coming out of the west side of the garage. Firefighters knocked down the blaze in about 10-minutes.
Chief Cappel says the structure and the contents inside are considered a total loss. The garage was unattached, but the blaze caused some siding damage to the house located south of the building.
The cause of the fire is undetermined. Cappel says they will return to the scene after daylight.
The Atlantic Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Atlantic Fire Department at the scene.
