(Atlantic) Former Cass County Assessor Brenda Nelson announced her resignation as President of the Iowa State Association of Assessors, as well as her job with the City of Ames.
In her resignation letter, Nelson said she will be moving to Omaha in the next few weeks and will miss the Assessors extended family.
Nelson had been the Assessor for Cass County since 2003 and in May she announced she would be leaving Cass County for a job at the Assessor’s Office in Ames. Her position there was effective June 15th. The Cass County Assessor’s position currently remains vacant and duties are being handled by County Auditor Dale Sunderman.
