(Atlantic) The Atlantic Park Board discussed turning Nishna Park into a nature walk area at their meeting Monday evening.
Atlantic Parks and Recreation Director Bryant Rasmussen said all of the playground equipment was taken out when they did the tiling as part of the IDALS Water Quality grant a year ago and he said it’s not a bad plot of land; they just need to find the best way to utilize it.

In other news, Rasmussen said with some donation money they were able to get around 10 different packages of prairie seeds with a total about 1,000 square feet of prairie sections. He said they will start to spread those seeds throughout various areas of the City Parks.
Rasmussen also noted that with some of the donation money they received they have ordered some tables and additional benches to put in at the Dog Park.
