(Council Bluffs) Cedar Falls Police located the missing mother and daughter from Council Bluffs on Thursday. The two-year-old daughter, Luna is in good condition, and the father will be taking custody. Jennifer Reilly will be treated at a Cedar Falls hospital for mental health reasons.
Officers were called to a home in the 3000 block of 2nd Ave, in Council Bluffs, regarding a missing two-year-old at 12:03 p.m. on Thursday, February 11. Officers arrived and spoke to the child’s father, who stated that Jennifer Reilly had left the residence late Wednesday night with their daughter, Luna Gallagos, and he had not heard from them.
Family members were concerned for their safety due to recent delusional comments made by Reilly. Officers are looking to locate both mother and child to check their physical and emotional welfare.
The Council Bluffs Police Department submitted an Amber Alert application on this incident to the State, but it did not meet the requirements for an alert.
