(Harlan) The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reports five arrests.
William Allen Yoder, 63, of Elk Horn, was arrested January 5th following a traffic stop in Harlan for driving while revoked license status. Yoder was transported to the Shelby County Jail and is currently being held under a $1,000 cash or surety bond pending an appearance before a magistrate.
Wayne Earl Johnson, 37, of Dow City, was arrested following a traffic stop along Highway 59 around 2:00 a.m. on January 3rd. Johnson was arrested for driving under suspension, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and prohibited acts. Johnson was taken to the jail without incident, and released a short time later after posting the required $3,200 surety bond.
Lee Jung Hoon Hansen, 59, of Avoca, was arrested January 2nd near the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 44. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Hansen is in barred status. Hansen was transported to the Shelby County jail without incident and charged with driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. Hansen was released the following morning on his own recognizance after a magistrate appearance and given a future court date.
William Allen Yoder, 63, of Elk Horn, was arrested December 27th following a traffic stop along the 400 block of Highway 173. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Yoder is revoked through the state for driving privileges. Yoder was placed under arrest and transferred to the jail without incident and released the following morning on his own recognizance and given a future court date.
Timothy Steven McFarland, 29, was arrested following a traffic stop for speeding violation along Highway 37 on December 23rd. Upon further investigation, McFarland was arrested for Operating while intoxicated 1st offense, and citied for failure to yield half the roadway, windshield obstruction and speeding violation. McFarland was transported to the Shelby County Jail and held until the following morning when he was released under his own recognizance and given a future court date with promise to appear.
