(Council Bluffs, IA) — The town of Minden has requested $17,500 from the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors in their continued recovery from the 2024 tornado. The money would be used towards engineering services and Supervisor Tim Wichman expressed some concern over giving the money
Wichman says if one town asks for money, other towns could follow suit. Supervisor Susan Miller, however, says the help is needed and was surprised they only requested that much
Shortly afterward, Miller moved to accept Minden’s request and was seconded by Keith Jones. After some conversation, the supervisors believed it could fall under this year’s fiscal year and approved the motion with a unanimous 5-0 vote.
