Two Injured in Motorcycle Accident Near Walnut

(Walnut) Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 83 (Pearl Street) on the west edge of Walnut Tuesday evening.

The accident involved a single motorcycle carrying two people. Sergeant Jim Doty with the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office told KSOM/KS95 News that the reporting party believed the motorcycle failed to negotiate a turn, causing the crash.

The driver was transported by medical helicopter to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, while the passenger was taken by ambulance to Myrtue Medical Center. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Accident Investigations Team is investigating the crash.
