(Atlantic) The 2026 Cass County Fair King and Queen will be crowned Thursday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Outdoor Show Ring at the Cass County Fairgrounds. Haley Schmidt is coordinating this year’s competition.
High school 4-H and FFA members will compete for a place on the royal court during the Cass County Fair, which runs from July 23 through July 28. Judges will select a king, queen, prince and princess. The queen will advance to the Iowa State Fair, where she will compete for the title of 2026 Iowa State Fair Queen.
Candidates will be judged on leadership, citizenship, communication skills, honesty when discussing current youth issues, poise, personality, attitude and appearance. Candidates will also vote among themselves to select Miss Congeniality and Mister Congeniality.
The 2025 Cass County Fair royalty included Queen Lily Johnson, Princess Josie Millikan, King Nollan Smith and Prince Conner Johnson.
Candidates for the 2026 Cass County Fair royalty are Karly Byers, Lauren Comes, Aly Dreager, Dylen Dreager, Jacquie Freund, Walker Gary, Ada Hansen, Ryanna Harrison, Michael Hocamp, Clara Kennedy, Leah Ohms, Olivia Olson, Callie Rudy, Colin Rudy, Addalyn Sonntag and Kole Sorensen.
