(Red Oak) One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Red Oak Tuesday evening.
The Red Oak Police Department says a 16-year-old female from Red Oak was driving a 2017 Subaru Outback northbound on Valley Street and failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection of Boundary Street. The Subaru broadsided an westbound 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by 75-year-old Toni Kesterson of Red Oak. Kesterson had to be extricated by Red Oak Fire and Rescue and was transported to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
The teen was cited for Failure to Yield from a Stop Sign.
