(Jackson Co.) One person died following a single-vehicle accident in Jackson County Friday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 3:00 p.m. at 17th Street and 484th Avenue, west of Miles. An 18-year-old from Clinton was driving a 2008 Toyota Corolla eastbound on 17th Street and lost control. The vehicle left the roadway where it struck a building and came to rest inside the building.
The driver was transported by Preston Ambulance to Jackson County Regional Health Center where they died from their injuries.
The driver’s name has not been released at this time.
