(Massena) Schildberg Construction Company recently presented the CAM Elementary S.T.E.M. program with a grant to modernize seating and accommodate all learners.
Diane Brahms is a S.T.E.M. and TAG teacher for kindergarten through sixth-grade students at CAM Elementary. This is the first year of a S.T.E.M. classroom, and over the years, she realized some things were missing.
Brahms says part of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math program is growing people’s minds.
The CAM Elementary S.T.E.M. is currently tackling several projects.
Brahms adds that S.T.E.M. is important to the community. She says the state initiatives have been helpful, noting a grant they awarded one year ago that helped the program purchase Robots. She says S.T.E.M. is a future career choice that opens their horizons.
