Jesse Joe Fender, the son of Kemberly Joseph Fender and Ladonna Carol Longcor, was born on October 3, 1975, in Atlantic, Iowa. He passed away on April 26, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jesse attended Oakland High School as part of the Class of 1993. His career journey began with various positions at Oakland Foods and Conagra, among other roles. His path eventually led him to Omaha Neon Sign Company, where he held the position of Lead Assembly, applying his mechanical skills and attention to detail.
A passionate sports fan, Jesse was a devoted supporter of the Detroit Lions and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. His interests extended beyond sports into a love of fishing and camping. He also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts.
Most importantly, Jesse cherished time spent with his daughter, Bonnie Joe Fender, reflecting his deep and unconditional love for people. His kind and generous spirit left a lasting impression on many.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Ladonna Steffen, and her husband Doug of Griswold, Iowa; his brother Nick Fichter and wife Daisy of Spencer, Iowa; his daughter Bonnie Joe Fender of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his special friend Racheal Shanno and her son Joey; as well as his nephew Danzel Fichter, niece Iris Fichter, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kem Fender; half-brother Kemberly Joseph Fender, Jr.; grandparents Melvin and Bonnie Longcor; and Uncle Denny Longcor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
