(Corning/Villisca) The Southwest Valley School Board has selected Mr. Tim Hood as their next Superintendent of Schools.
The Southwest Valley Community School District Board of Directors are proud to welcome Tim Hood as the district’s interim Superintendent, saying, “Mr. Hood will provide steady leadership and support for students, staff and families while the district continues planning for long-term administrative leadership. “
Corning Board President, Staci Venteicher, stated, “I believe Mr. Hood is an excellent fit for Southwest Valley‘s current needs. Throughout the process, he demonstrated a strong understanding of what matters most in our district, keeping students in the center, supporting teachers and staff, communicating clearly, and partnering with our families and community. His approach aligns with our district’s needs in the values we heard from our community”.
Villisca Board President, Jason Poston commented, “The Board Members, found Mr. Hood’s sharing experience, knowledge of finance and 30 years of leadership experience to be exactly what is needed at this time for Southwest Valley.”
Mr. Hood will begin his duties at Southwest Valley Community Schools on July 1, 2026.
