(Jefferson, IA) — AC/GC competed at the Greene County Co-Ed Track Meet on Monday night. The Chargers had just one victory on the night as the Boys Shuttle Hurdle team won with a time of 1:03.90 (Collin Stringham, Morgun Nolte, Tommy Skram and Brexton Schneider).
Schneider finished 2nd in the 110 Hurdles (16.17); Talon Noland was 2nd in the 400 (51.54) and 4th in the 200 (23.74); Preston Kent was 3rd in both the one mile (4:55.91) and the 800 (2:11.63). In the field events, Jack Sheeder was 2nd in the Shot Put (48-07.25) and Brennan Tunink was 3rd in the Discus (125-07).
The girls were led by Cadance Petersen with a pair of third place finishes in the 400 Hurdles (1:11.39) and High Jump (4-08).

The Carroll boys won the meet with 163 points — Lual Tharjiath won the 110 Hurdles (15.69), the High Jump (6-02) and anchored the 4×100 relay to a win (43.95) plus finished 2nd in the 200 (23.54); Dayton Wiederien won both the one mile (4:49.38) and two mile (10:28.03); Landon Mrla won the Long Jump (21-03); Gavin Holt won the Discus (148-11) and Carson Tedrow won the 400 Hurdles (59.11).
The Tiger girls finished 4th — Chloe Kock won the Discus (114-04); Willow Feld won the High Jump (4-08); and Carroll won the Sprint Medley.
Greene County’s girls won their home meet with 112 points just ahead of Woodward Granger with 108 — Kaycee Pittman won the 800 (2:27.66); the boys finished 2nd behind Carroll with 119.5 points — Drew Wolterman won the 800 (2:08.04) and 400 (51.13); Zack Stalder won the 100 (11.83); and GC won the Sprint Medley.
