(Stuart, IA) – Once again this season, the ACGC boys’ track team was able to capture a win at the West Central Valley meet on Monday with a total of 114 points. Panorama finished in second with 75, West Central Valley 59, Van Meter in fourth with 58, St. Albert in fifth with 56, and CAM in sixth with 54. On the girl’s side, Van Meter won the meet with 149 points, Grand View in second with 72.5, West Central Valley in third with 71.5, Woodward Granger in fourth with 68, Mount Ayr fifth with 59, CAM sixth with 51, and ACGC in seventh with 50.

For the ACGC boys, finishing with 114 points and finishing first overall, the team had a few first-place finishers. Andrew Mahaffey finished first in the 1600m run, Lance Bunde in the high jump, and Payton Jacobe in the shot put. Other top finishers include Treynton Schneider finishing second in the 110m hurdles, Eli Madsen finished second in the 110m hurdles, and Gavin Sloss finished second in the 800m run. Tate Fever earned third in the 400m hurdles, Preston Kent earned fourth in the 3200m run, and Brexton Schneider finished fifth in the 100m dash.
In the team events, ACGC finished first in the 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay, 4x110m shuttle hurdle, 4x400m relay, and the 4x800m relay.
Jumping over to the CAM boys’ track team, Jack Follmann finished first in both the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. Chase Spieker had a third-place finish in the 100m dash and Brayden Chester finished fourth in the boy’s discus throw.
In the team events, CAM finished second in the 4x100m relay, 800m sprint medley, and 4x110m hurdles.
On the girl’s side for ACGC, the Chargers featured Ava Campbell in first in the 800m run and she finished second in the 1500m run. Becca Littler finished second in the shot put, Meranda Gruber finished fifth in the 100m hurdles and finished sixth in the 400m hurdles, Isabelle Rouse finished fourth in the long jump, and Caydence Boals finished fourth in the shot put. In the team events, the girls finished third in the 4x200m relay and in the 4x400m relay.
For the CAM girl’s track team, the Cougars featured Ada Hansen in second place in the 400m hurdles, Bailey Lillard finished third in the 100m hurdles, and Courtney Follman finished third in the discus throw. Lily Barber also favored well in the discus throw, finishing fourth overall. Emma Follman finished fifth in the 100m dash and Courtney Follman finished fifth in the shot put. In the team results, finished second in the 4x110m shuttle hurdle relay, third in the 800m sprint medley, and third in the distance medley.
