(Anita, IA) – With the IATC Indoor Championships last week, the CAM Cougars got their first taste of the season in Ames and featured a great team performance, tying for 12th with a total of 18 points. Jack Follman finished second in the 400-meter dash and was second in the 60-meter hurdles. Collin Bower finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles and ninth in the 200-meter dash for the Cougars. Head Coach Drew Ticknor was proud of how his boys kickstarted the season.
The Cougars have continued to enjoy the summer-like weather that we are seeing in early March. Typically, the athletes are getting their exercises in the gym or in the hallways. With how nice it has been, they are already hitting the track this season.
CAM features a total of 11 athletes on the track and field boy’s team this season. Their lone senior Jack Follman has continued to lead by example while finishing at the top. Collin Bower has already started to make strides this season in the shuttle hurdles. With the other talented athletes for CAM, Coach Ticknor is looking for them to make their mark early this season.
With spring break coming up in just a few days for CAM, they will return back and look ahead to March 26th when they race at Bedford in the Bulldog Relays starting at 4:30 p.m.
