(Neola) The Iowa Department of Natural Resources recently completed electrofishing surveys on Lake Anita, Prairie Rose, the Cass County Education pond, and Arrowhead Lake.
John Lorenzen, Fisheries Biologist, said electrofishing is conducted to get a standardized sample of what the fish population looks like.
Lorenzen highlighted the data collected at Arrowhead Park near Neola.
Lorenzen said DNR staff still have about a dozen additional surveys to complete on area lakes this season.
