(Lexington, KY) — If you cannot beat him, recruit him. Former Iowa St. Cyclone Milan Momcilovic has announced that he will join the Kentucky Wildcats for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Momcilovic reportedly chose the Wildcats over Louisville and Arizona. St. John’s was also in the mix.
The 6’8″ Senior will have one season of eligibility remaining and was considered the top layer in the transfer portal especially after recently announcing that he will not go into the NBA Draft and play one more season of college basketball.
Momcilovic was the best shooter in college basketball this past season for Iowa St., averaging 16.9 ppg and shooting 48.7 percent from three point land and had a total of 136 three pointers made.
Momcilovic led the Cyclones to 83 wins in his three seasons and ISU made two Sweet 16 appearances including beating Kentucky this past year in the NCAA Tournament.
