(Des Moines) A Wind Advisory goes into effect from 6:00 p.m. this evening through 3:00 a.m. on Sunday. The affected counties in southwest Iowa include Adair, Adams, Audubon, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Guthrie, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union.
The National Weather Service forecasts gusty northwest winds at 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour. The winds can blow around unsecured objects and snap tree limbs, causing a few power outages.
