Don Dolan, 87, of Greenfield passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines.
Mass of Christian Burial: Will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. Masks are optional. Father Phillip Bempong will officiate the service. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com. The Steen Funeral Home of Greenfield is in charge of professional arrangements.
Luncheon: An Irish Wake and Luncheon will be held at the Bloodline Irish Pub in Greenfield following the services.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials: May be directed to Don Dolan Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
Survivors:He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marilyn, daughter Deanna Hughes of DePere, Wi, and son Michael Dolan and wife Mandy of Greenfield; stepdaughters, Andrea Schmidt (Luther) of Concordia, Mo and Laura Kowert (Brian) of Wheaton, Ill; granddaughters Kylie Filo (Jared), Katie Dieck (Jimmy) and Abbie Hughes all of Milwaukee, Wi; great grandson, Judah James Dieck; step- grandsons, Capt. Sam Schmidt, USAF (Devon) of Cherry Hill, N.J., Simon Schmidt of Kansas City, Mo, Ethan Kowert of Fayetteville, Ar., Mikel Feick of Redfield; step-granddaughters, Anna Kowert of E. Lansing, Mi, Megan Feick of Greenfield; step-great-grandsons, Ryker and Riggs Feick; brothers, John Dolan (Dalene) and Rich Dolan; sister, Helen Anderson (Jim), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by many.
