(Greenfield) Adair County Health Services announced today it will not resume cardiac rehabilitation services, which had been previously offered at Adair County Memorial Hospital but paused during the pandemic.
Following extensive review and discussion involving medical staff, senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, ACHS will discontinue these services as part of efforts to re-focus on providing exceptional healthcare within current service lines while managing existing financial and personnel resources.
If you need cardiac rehab services, please consult your primary care provider, who will coordinate referral to a program in the area that meets your needs.
Cardiology testing services, including Coumadin clinic, cardiology clinic, stress tests and echocardiograms will continue to be offered at ACHS.
According to Catherine Hillestad, Adair County Health System CEO, resuming these services is not sustainable long-term – financially or from a staffing standpoint.
“We are focused on making ACHS’s current healthcare service lines the very best they can be, and that’s where we need to place our resources of people and funds,” said Hillestad.
