(Bridgewater) A fire destroyed a home in Bridgewater on Friday.
Bridgewater Fire Chief Darrell Christensen tells KSOM/KS95 News a neighbor spotted the fire at around 7:08 a.m. at 301 Main Street and called for emergency services.
When they arrived, Christensen said smoke was billowing from the home, and flames were shooting out from the overhangs.
The resident left for work before the start of the fire, and no one was home at the time. No one was injured while battling the blaze.
Christensen says it appears the fire started in the basement, but the cause was underdetermined at this writing time.
