(Coon Rapids, IA) — Coon Rapids Bayard stayed undefeated in Rolling Valley Conference volleyball with a three set sweep over Exira EHK.
The Crusaders used a strong service game with 19 total aces in a 25-11, 25-15, 25-22 win over the Spartans.
CRB had 8 aces alone in the first set — with an 8-7 edge, the Crusaders got a sideout and Adalynn Spangler won 7 straight points on her serve including 4 aces.
Exira EHK would lead 6-4 in the 2nd set but after a sideout, CRB rattled off six straight points to regain control 11-6 and the Spartans only won one point on their serve the rest of the set.
In set three, CRB took an 8-3 lead but Exira EHK came back as Brooklyn Brabham won four points on her serve to cut the lead to 8-9. A Taryn Petersen ace made it 10-9 Spartans but the Crusaders quickly got a sideout and Spangler won four points on her serve to take a 14-10 lead and Exira EHK could never recover.
