(Atlantic) Nishna Valley Trails is hosting a cleanup day at the T-Bone Trail on September 12.
Dave Chase is the President of the organization; he says the group’s main focus is developing trails and outdoor recreation to get people outside and enjoy the benefits of trail use.
Chase says Nishna Valley Trails is hosting a T-Bone Trail Cleanup day on September 12.
The clean-up will be held from 10:00 to noon. Volunteers will meet at the Trailhead at the Valley, where Highway 71 and the Interstate meet.
There will be lunch afterward, and an optional ride or walk on the trail. Those interested in volunteering should contact Elaine Otte at 249-1761.
Nishna Valley Trails has been working for more than three decades to expand recreational trail opportunities in Cass County and the surrounding area. The organization was formed as a nonprofit recreational-trails advocacy group in 1991. Today, Nishna Valley Trails remains focused on recreational trail development in Cass County and the surrounding area. Recent organizational records show continued work with landowners and easements toward completing the final three miles of the T-Bone Trail into Atlantic.
