One Person Suffers Injuries in Head-on Collision in Dickinson County

(Dickinson County) One person was injured in a head-on collision in Dickinson County on Wednesday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at around 6:40 p.m. on Highway 86 and 190^th Street. Authorities identified the injured person as 56-year-old Clarence Horst, of Ruthven, Iowa.

According to the report, a northbound 2009 Toyota Highlander driven by 67-year-old Robert Spears of Tampa, Florida, crossed the center line at the intersection of 190^th Street and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Peterbilt semi driven by 56-year-old Clarence Horst.

A ground ambulance transported Horst to Spirit Lake Hospital.
