(Avoca, IA) — AHSTW Football Head Coach Davis Pattee is hoping to build on some success in his first year back on the sidelines. The Vikings went 4-5 but did make the playoffs and have four seniors coming into this season. Pattee says he needs to improve the running game and summer was a productive time to begin that goal
Junior Dayton Osbahr returns as Quarterback and Pattee says he has become more of a leader. He says there is big competition at the linebacker and at defensive back and there some skill spots where there is work yet to be done
Pattee says he is working to make sure his team is ready between the ears before their Week Zero opener
AHSTW is in Class A District 7 with AC/GC, Mount Ayr, Nodaway Valley, Riverside and Southwest Valley. The Vikings open up next Friday hosting Missouri Valley.
