Tim LeRoy “Timmer” Wambold, Jr. was born June 23, 1983, in Atlantic, Iowa, and passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026, in Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 43. He will be remembered for his caring heart, quick smile, and the way he made people feel welcome and valued.
He was the son of Rose & Mike Stoy and Tim & Judy Wambold. Timmer is survived by his siblings—Scott, Jessica, Nikki, Augustus, Shelby, and Ethan—his Grandma Patty, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Grandma Sue Raibikis and Grandpa Don Wambold.
Timmer was an amazing uncle— someone his nieces and nephews could count on, and someone who truly stayed involved in family life. Don and Patty were also a major presence in his life, shaping the everyday moments and traditions he treasured, especially at Grandma Patty’s dinner table on the family farm near Fontanelle, where the home-cooked meals were second to none and everyone around the table felt like part of the family
Though he faced a life-changing accident as a teenager that left him paralyzed, Timmer kept moving forward and stayed close to the things he loved, especially horses, fishing, and hunting. He could pump a shotgun like nobody’s business.
No matter what life threw his way, he cared for the people who mattered most—his friends and family. Timmer’s life had an impact far beyond his own story, and the people who loved him will carry that forward.
Rest easy, Timmer. Your presence is deeply missed.
