(Atlantic) The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has announced the 2026 All-State softball teams this past week. Three Atlantic players were selected on the elite list in Class 3A. For this reason, three players named to the All-State Teams, Lila Wiederstein, Zoey Kirchhoff, and Jillian Saathoff, are this week’s KS95 Armor Insurance Trojan Athletes of the Week.
Atlantic senior catcher Lila Wiederstein earned first-team all-state honors in Class 3A. Lila hit .488 for the Trojans, including 8 HR, 49 RBI, 8 doubles, 5 triples, scored 57 runs, stole 25 bases, and had a slugging percentage of .824. Former Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann complimented Lila on her leadership and enthusiasm for the game.
Atlantic senior shortstop Zoey Kirchhoff was a third team selection. Zoey batted .382 with 3 HR, 34 RBI, 17 doubles, 1 triple and scored 32 runs. Hinzmann says Zoey was a versatile player, and the last two season settled into the shortstop position and did an outstanding job in the field and at the plate.
Atlantic junior first baseman JillianSaathoff was also a third-team all-state selection. Jillian hit had a.405 batting average with 3 HR and 36 RBI for the Trojans. She also had 8 doubles, 1 triple, and scored 24 runs. Jillian committed only one error during the season for an incredible .996 fielding percentage. Hinzmann credits Saathoff’s work ethic for her success this season.
The Trojans finished the season as Hawkeye Ten Conference champions, and notched 33 wins on the season.
