(Oakland, IA) — The Riverside Girls Track and Field team competed at a small meet on Tuesday at Griswold — the Bulldogs did not have a full team with some schedule conflicts but won the meet anyway. Sophomore Arabella Singleton was a four time winner in the 100, 200 and part of the 4×200 and 4×400 relays. Overall, Head Coach Jared Hoffman has not decided on any relay line up with less than a month until districts
Bently Rone was a state qualifier last year in the 400 Hurdles and has only now started running the race coming off an injury so Hoffman is hoping her times will start coming down. The Bulldogs have gotten points from Madison Kelley in the throws and Olivia Lund and Violet Comstock in the High Jump. Hoffman says they have had other contributors as well
And then there is Sophia Fenner who will compete this evening at the Drake Relays in the Shot Put for the 2nd straight year. She finished in 22nd place last year so she will be looking to improve that
The Girls Shot Put is scheduled for 5:00 pm this evening at the Drake Relays; the rest of the team is scheduled to compete at a meet in Council Bluffs tonight.
