(Ames, IA) — Iowa St. Women’s Basketball Head Coach Bill Fennelly continues to slowly restock the roster via the transfer portal. On Saturday, Ashleigh Connor from LaSalle has committed to transferring to the Cyclones.
Connor is a 5’11” guard from Pittsburgh, PA who averaged 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.0 steals per game for the Explorers. She led LaSalle in scoring and was a 2nd team All-Conference selection in the Atlantic 10. She was a solid three point shooter going 37 of 104 for 35.6 percent from the outside. Connor played her first season at St. Louis she only appeared in 18 games and did not start. As a sophomore in 2024-25 with LaSalle, she started in every game and her numbers jumped from 1.8 ppg to 10.8. She has one season of eligibility remaining.
Connor is ISU’s third addition in the portal with 5’8″ Maya Bobbitt from Kent St. and 6’1 Gift Ezekiel from Florida. Fennelly still has more work to do with a roster of six players — three holdovers (Arianna Jackson, Evangelina Paulk Freya Jensen) and incoming freshman Macy Comito.
