(Shenandoah, IA) — Riverside’s track teams both finished in 2nd place at the Shenandoah Co-Ed meet on Thursday night. Fremont Mills won the girls with 147.5 points with the Bulldogs 2nd with 92.5. Shenandoah 3rd (69), Griswold 4th (68) and East Mills rounded out the top 5 (43). Shenandoah won the boys meet with 169 points ahead of Riverside with 126 in 2nd. Bedford was third (64.66), Southwest Valley 4th (64) and Fremont Mills 5th (40.16). Griswold boys were 7th (28).
Jaxon Gordon of Riverside won the 110 Hurdles with a time of 14.74 which ranks 22nd in the state and will get him into the Drake Relays field. The 4×100 team of Cole Jeppesen, Paden Schechinger, Keegan Smith and Gordon won and ran a 43.75 which puts them in the Drake Relays field, ranking in a tie for 67th.
The 4×800 relay for the Bulldogs won with a time of 8:06.31 with Eli Hudnall, Brody Henderson, Dawson Henderson, and Owen Fenner — the ranks 20th in the state but just misses the Drake Relays field which takes the top 16 times.
