(Glenwood) The Glenwood girls defended their home track on Thursday, capturing the team title with 141.66 points. Glenwood opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 800 sprint medley relay as Ahna Grassau, Olivia Wright, Megan Hughes, and Caitlin Hebel posted a time of 1:51.37. Grace Berglund added a win in the 3000 meters in 10:37.08 and later finished second in the 800 meters in 5:00.64.
Individually, Megan Hughes placed second in 16.54, Caitlin Hebel took second in the 200 meters in 26.91, Emileigh Petersen finished second in the 400 meters in 1:04.86, and Jordyn Schulte was second in the 800 meters in 2:20.26.
In relays, Glenwood finished second in the 4×200 in 1:46.19 while earning first-place finishes in the 4×400 relay (4:02.81), the 4×800 relay (10:16.54), and the distance medley relay (4:29.01).
Atlantic had one of its best showings of the season, finishing second with 119.32 points. Stella Van Aernam won the 100 meters in 12.81, while Lila Wiederstein captured first in the 200 meters in 26.76 and placed second in the long jump at 18-00.50. Jayci Reed finished third in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.66, and Katrina Williams took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:13.66.
Atlantic also earned relay victories in the 4×200 with Wiederstein, Hass, Middents, and Van Aernam in 1:46.17, and in the shuttle hurdle relay as Aiza Jones, Emerie Jones, Adler Bruce, and Jayci Reed finished in 1:12.21.
Lewis Central finished third with 101.66 points, highlighted by several first-place performances. Arianna Melika won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:12.14, Madelyn Hoss captured the 1500 in 4:57.87, and Madeline Woods took first in the discus with a throw of 104-02.00. The 800 sprint medley relay team placed second in 1:58.56, and Olivia Ausdemore finished second in the high jump at 4-10.00.
