(Council Bluffs) Lewis Central won the team title at the 10th Annual Council Bluffs Invitational boys track meet on Thursday, finishing with 126.50 points. The team placed first in the 800 sprint medley relay with a time of 1:39.39 and took second in the 4×100 meter relay in 42.86. Individually, Carter Thielen finished second in the high jump (6-00.00), Peyton Phippen placed second in the long jump (20-10.75), and Hunter Infanger won the shot put with a throw of 55-09.00 while also finishing second in the discus (141-06.00).
Glenwood finished second with 96 points, highlighted by several top performances. Aaden Lopez won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.62, Bryce Keller placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:04.68, and the team won the 4×100 meter relay in 42.86. Glenwood also finished second in the 4×400 meter relay in 3:28.81, while Todd Schmitt claimed first place in the discus with a throw of 155-01.00.
