(Des Moines, IA) – Head Tennis Coach Ben Lott has officially resigned from his position as of Wednesday, March 13th.
Lott was previously hired not even seven months ago, on August 21st, 2023. The award-winning alumni of Drake tennis formally served as the assistant coach for the Bulldogs from 2019-2022 before being hired as the head coach back in August.
Drake featured an 8-4 record in his inaugural season and went 1-0 in conference action in the Summit League before he stepped down. Brian Hardin, Drake Athletics Director, has announced the women’s Head Coach Breaunna Addison will be the Interim Director of Tennis until they can announce a replacement for Lott. Former volunteer coach Aaron Forsberg has returned to assist the men’s team to help finish the 2024 season.
