(Atlantic) Iowa High School Football teams across the state are holding scrimmages this evening.
Atlantic hosts Carroll. Both teams finished with 5-4 records one year ago. Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer says Carroll is a good team, and he wants to see his players line up in the right spot and play hard.
Coach Brummer is also using the Scrimmage to evaluate players and positions.
Two of the Tigers’ top two ball carriers return this season. Reese Ziegman rushed for 846 yards and averaged 6.9 yards per carry. Cooper Ludwig rushed for 552 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per carry.
The Trojans return all-district receiver, Colton Rasmussen. Rasmussen hauled in 38 catches for 762 yards and 12 touchdowns. The senior averaged 20 yards per reception. Colton Becker returns as an outside linebacker following a junior season of 29 tackles, 21 solos, and two tackles for loss.
The Scrimmage starts at 6:00 p.m. at Trojan Bowl.
