(Harlan) Last week Harlan Schools Superintendent Jenny Barnett released a statement to Harlan School District Families of an incident related to a Department of Criminal Investigation regarding a School district Middle School Teacher.
Nathaniel McLaren, Special Agent in Charge of the Cyber Crime Bureau Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force, confirmed his agency is actively investigating an individual in the Harlan area, identified as Eric Robert Croghan.
Agent McLaren says the search warrant is not sealed and is open for public viewing.
Agent McLaren says the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests or charges have been filed at this time.
Croghan was initially placed on administrated leave and, shortly after that, submitted his resignation for all teaching and coaching positions within the district. The board approved the resignation.
